Hey there! I’m stopping by to share some of the best things I ate this week. I say “some” of the best things I ate because I typically don’t take pictures of all of my food, even when I have full intentions to. Partially because I’m forgetful, partially because sometimes, I feel weird hovering over food with my phone. But mostly because I’m forgetful.
And honestly, it feels much better to sometimes forget to snap a food picture than to be obsessing over it all the time. Nevertheless, I still take a lot of pictures of food (obviously), so let’s get to them!
This last week included my graduation party, which included the cutest straws ever.
It also included making (and eating) a cheese board. Which makes it sound like I ate the whole board. I didn’t (though I did good work on it), but I may or may not have eaten all of the mushrooms plus the ones in reserve for restocking the board. Oops.
The whole spread.
Infused water! We’ve got lime mint, cucumber lemon, and strawberry orange. I put a few too many limes in the lime mint one. Very, ahem, invigorating.
For party favors, I wanted to go with a PB & J theme (my undying love for all things PB & J as the obvious reason). So homemade blueberry lime and raspberry jam in cute jars it was (thanks Mom!). I was going to make the peanut butter myself, but didn’t end up having time. Justin’s to the rescue! (PSA: those packets of PB and AB are the bomb for plane flight snacking.)
Annnnnnd because I rarely post photos of myself on the blog since I’m usually the one behind the camera, here’s a shot of apron-garbed me in front of our party snack table.
We also served dinner (grilled chicken and tons of different salads), but I have no pictures, so you’ll have to use your imagination. 🙂
A few other non-party favorite eats from the week are as follows:
This salad. Served with grilled chicken and bread. We were going to make it for the dinner part of the party, but didn’t end up needing to with the plethora of other salads we made.
Smoothie break at work. A pineapple green smoothie, to be precise. I’m more of a berry and/or chocolate person when it comes to smoothies (proof here, here, here, and here), but I was craving tropical that morning.
And two loaves of the banana pumpkin bread I mentioned in this post. Sliced and frozen to be eaten in future weeks. Or, let’s be real, week singular, because I’ve been on such a banana bread kick lately.
Eat something delicious today, mmmmkay?
