Hey hey hey, we’re on Random Roots 12! As always with these posts, here is the culmination of the links I’ve loved over the last week.
in case ya missed it, I did a week in the life video.
Hey there! Trying something new today–I’m sharing my week in the life video-style.
Mostly, it was because I took a workshop from Bjork and Lindsay Ostrom of Pinch of Yum and Food Blogger Pro about editing food videos on your phone and I wanted to try out iMovie. Yes, I am so un-technologically minded that I didn’t know how to use iMovie before taking the workshop.
But also because everyone does all these cute Instagram stories and you really get to see their personalities and I love it buuuuuut I feel too self-conscious to do it myself. So this was my practice for Instagram storying. 😉
It’s long-ish–won’t blame you if you watch it double speed or skip it altogether. See ya on the flip side for a written post!
Here’s the link to watch it on Youtube if you can’t view it here.
Kylie @ Immaeatthat’s week in the life video
Alison @ Daily Moves and Grooves’ half week in the life video
The Healthy Maven’s avocado hair mask
Emily @ Beauty in Christ’s podcast episode on intuitive exercise
Love to you!
Heyyo. It’s me again, emptying my phone of recent food pics on you and sharing some thoughts on what I think of as “eating for the long run.”
This is part two in a little series I’ve been writing about journaling. (Read the first post about journaling in eating disorder recovery and for self care here.) In this post, I’m sharing some of my favorite journal tips and ideas that have helped me get the most out of journaling while enjoying it. If journaling’s not something you’re interested in, go ahead and skip this post. I’ll catch ya on the flip side!
Let’s dive in!
Heya and welcome to Random Roots 11! I’m definitely feeling summer this week (meaning I have a lovely sunburn like everywhere. I take full responsibility for being sunscreen careless).
Sooooooo ice cream is the obvious solution.
I was planning to put part two of my mini journaling series-ish-thing up for today, but I felt like doing a random roots post today, so here we are.
Hey there! Today I’m sharing my seven favorite podcasts with y’all.
How journaling can serve as an important tool in your eating disorder recovery and in self-care. Only one rule: leave your perfectionism behind you.
Today I want to talk about journaling. Journaling was hugely instrumental in my eating disorder recovery (like, would it be too dramatic to say it saved my life?) and continues to be something I do as a form of self-care.
