Helloooo. It’s time for the next edition of links I love: Random Roots 13.
In other news, I picked blueberries this weekend. And have been eating them by the handful pretty much every time I walk through the kitchen. Feels like summer. Probably because it is. And so I changed my WordPress dashboard color scheme (WordPress bloggers, you know what I’m talking about) from ‘Coffee’ to ‘Ocean’ because it felt right. Like summer.
But anyways. On to the links!
why we need a point of reference one eating disorder recovery. Since I read this, I’ve been thinking a lot about points of reference.
post-workout cold brew protein drink. This is pretty much what I’ve been making every morning. Except I use a chilled espresso shot instead of cold brew. And sometimes cream instead of almond milk. And collagen instead of protein powder because I don’t have any. So, in other words, it’s not what pretty much what I’ve been making every morning. But the same idea.
tangent on collagen: I know I mentioned this in this post, but I’ll say it again: yes, I like collagen in my coffee but it didn’t change my life. It doesn’t make me a better person on the days when I have it. It doesn’t mean I’m unhealthy on days when I don’t. Sure, it can be beneficial to your body, but it’s not a must-have to live a full, healthy life. But you already knew that.

And in the same vein, how I found a better work-life balance. All these tips are keepers.
how to make an epic cheeseboard (with trader joe’s items). If you love cheeseboards + Trader Joe’s as much as I do, this is for you.
a love letter to my anxiety. Another killer post from Alexis aka Hummusapien.
blueberry lime poppy seed cake with crème fraîche glaze. I love the blueberry lime combo. We used to make blueberry lime jam every summer.
how nutrition helps you recover. Agreed.
Have a lovely day!
