It’s another links post: Random Roots 3! Here’s a conglomeration of some of my favorite links from this past week–both the delicious and thought-provoking variety.
This quote ^^^ (pinned to this Pinterest board) perfectly sums up what I’ve been feeling this week. I’m super grateful to have a slower semester this time around after a hectic one. Part of it is my schedule to be sure, but I also think a big part of it is my mindset. Yay for slowing down (insert praise hands emoji here).
Speaking of slowing down and noticing the little things in life, I really want to read this book. I’ve read Emily’s other books and I love them in all the best ways.
I adore sweet potatoes and these melting sweet potatoes look magical.
I want to make this dreamy blender oat blueberry banana bread. But we only have one not-too-ripe banana. Boo.
Huge colorful bowls like these are my favorite dish to eat out of (also World Market it one of my favorite stores). While I love bowls, I don’t always (read: ever) want to eat a salad with a spoon. But sometimes, forks and bowls don’t go together so well. Anyone else feel the struggle? I’ve started eating salads out of bowls with chopsticks. I’m a fan.
The Unhealthy Truth Behind ‘Wellness’ and ‘Clean Eating’. I read this article a few days ago. It’s a bit of a longer read, but well worth it. When health is relegated solely to what and how we eat and move, it suffers (not to mention makes your life miserable).
I like to make simple but time-consuming recipes (like gnocchi) when I’m stressed. It’s therapeutic. These cookie crunch cocoa puffs would be perfect.
And in closing, this post on when exercise isn’t good. I love literally everything Kylie writes and this post is no different.
Happy Friday and have a great weekend!
